GWR01: Great Western Railway Mink F bogie mink van, Pre-order, £7.00 Order

This kit will be re-run as a special run in January. Please pre-order if you want one.

A kit for the GWR Mink F bogie mink wagon. Built from 1904 these steel bogie wagons were used on mainline freight services between London and South Wales. They lasted until the 1950s with a few seeing further departmental service as internal use wagons.

This has several small parts and you will also need wire to fashion the underframe struts as well as oval buffers (eg Farish) and a pair of 5'6" plateback bogies (produced by the N Gauge Society) plus mounts.

GWR02: West Midlands/Great Western 18' Composite of 1856, In stock, £4.00 Order

A fold up bodyshell, roof and droplights to produce a coach body for this early standard gauge coach. Note that the coach is 7ft wide so is not suitable for mounting on a Peco chassis.

Barry in Brass

One of our first products were some Barry Railway wagons in brass. These have been discontinued as the low volume of sales doesn't justify the work re-tooling them. Rather than vanish forever we've decided to make the artwork available under the Creative Commons share-alike licensing terms.

The artwork clips are 600dpi bitmap images in the traditional red/blue masks rather than vector CAD output as the computer tools we use to rasterise and verify them work in this format. Hopefully they will prove useful to anyone interested. If you are designing vans I would however strongly suggest making the sides and ends fold up from the floor rather than copying this approach. Some of the other design is also a bit idiosyncratic as it was early work and we all learn over time.

The artwork clips are for: Barry diagram 91 six wheel brake van, Barry diagram 51 and 79 vans and a simple (no interior) pair of diagram 35/38 open wagons.
