About Our Products

Etched Pixels produces computer designed model kits intended for modellers and not just experts. Unlike some other suppliers we don't offer the same products simply scaled down to N and in a single 10 thou metal thickness.

Our products are designed for N and 2mm. We design them to be easy to build in those scales and we pick appropriate metals and thicknesses to make construction easy. Many of our kits use 5 and 8 thou etched brass in order to get fine detail and ease of folding. All of our kits (except scratch aids and some trivial detailing parts) come with instructions.

In some cases there are fiddly or difficult parts to fit. Etched Pixels kits are designed so that fine detail parts can easily be omitted by the less experienced modeller. If a kit is unavoidably hard to build then we say so.

As well as etched kits we produce scratch aids. These are components such as coach sides that are intended to be used to help scratch build a model, rather than a kit of parts.
